SCOPE OF ACTIVITY

The Urology Outpatient Clinic offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic and treatment procedures of THE genitourinary tract under an agreement with the Polish National Health Fund.

The clinic offers specialist consultations for other healthcare units and other entities, it also qualifies and refers for surgical, endoscopic, percutaneous, ESWL procedures, etc. In addition, thanks to the specialist diagnostic base including the full range of laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging laboratory with the possibility of performing all scans and examinations necessary for diagnosis in the field of urology, the clinic offers a wide range of medical services.

DIAGNOSTICS

We offer a full range of ultrasound, radiographic and laboratory examinations.

PROPHYLAXIS

We perform prophylactic examinations for neoplasms of the genitourinary tract (cancer affecting the kidneys, bladder, prostate, etc.).

TREATMENT

We diagnose and provide conservative treatment of diseases of kidneys, ureters, prostate, urinary bladder and urethra.

URODYNAMIC EXAMINATIONS

We perform urodynamic examination in patients with urine incontinence and urination disorders.

  • Three modern consultation rooms with a separate sanitary unit, equipped with ultrasound machines
  • Treatment room for minor diagnostic procedures
  • Prostate biopsy room
  • Uroflowmetry (UFL) room
  • Sickroom fully equipped to perform immunotherapy

DIAGNOSTIC EXAMINATION

Diagnostic examination involving the viewing of the inside of the bladder and urethra using a cystoscope, performed under local anaesthesia (2% lignocaine gel).

The laboratory located in the hospital performs a wide range of laboratory examinations. Provides a high level of service by qualified personnel and high attention to issuing reliable test results. For detailed information call 32 602 70 59.

Intravesical BCG infusions - immunotherapy - performed after transurethral resection of the bladder tumor - involves administering to the bladder a series of infusions using a thin catheter.

Intravesical injections from Uropol - a modern method of treatment of chronic inflammation of the bladder.

Prostate biopsy - sampling of prostate specimens under the control of ultrasound (to exclude / confirm prostate cancer).

Urodynamic examination (UDS). It is used to assess the function of the lower urinary tract. Particularly helpful in the diagnosis of urinary incontinence and bladder outlet obstruction.

Uroflowmetry (UFL) with ultrasound assessment after residual urine after micturition - non-invasive examination of urinary flow through the urethra.

RADIOLOGICAL TESTS / RTG

The following tests are performed in the diagnostic X-ray laboratory:

  • Plain abdominal RTG.
  • PA RTG of the chest.
  • Urography,
  • Ascending Intravenous pyelogram,
  • Descending Intravenous pyelogram,
  • Cystography,
  • voiding Cystography,
  • Urethrograms

CT scan

Computer Tomography is an imaging technique using X-rays that is able to penetrate the body. An X-ray tube rotating around the Patient emits radiation, which allows for the creation of a number of cross-sections. The use of a computer system enables combining these sections into one fully 3D image of the examined organ.
